What Is Log File Analysis?

Log file analysis is reviewing a server's raw access logs to see exactly which URLs search engine crawlers requested, independent of any sampled reporting tool.

Log files are the only fully accurate record of crawler behavior — Google Search Console's crawl data is sampled and delayed, while log files show every single request in real time.
