What Is Geotargeting in SEO?

Geotargeting is the practice of signaling to search engines that a website, or a specific section of it, is intended for users in a particular country or region.

Geotargeting signals include ccTLDs, hreflang, Search Console's international targeting setting (for gTLDs), and local server/CDN location — no single signal is decisive alone.
