What Is Internal Linking?

Internal linking is connecting pages within the same website through hyperlinks, distributing authority and helping search engines discover and prioritize content.

Internal links are one of the few ranking signals a site owner fully controls — unlike backlinks, there's no dependency on another site choosing to link to you.
